The pallets were equipped by Beta Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG with their company headquarters in Heringen. The Beta peripheral formwork with integrated magnets was used as the formwork system. The U-profiles made from 4 mm high quality steel are furnished with integrated high performance magnets and the Beta switching system. They are realised with single-sided and dual-sided chamfers and are employed for the longitudinal and transverse formwork. With minor enhancements, the formwork can be expanded for use with a formwork robot. The Beta peripheral formwork with integrated magnets is already being successfully used with a robot-guided system. The formwork is held in position on the peripheral pallets and is drawn firmly down onto the base by the integrated magnets thus ensuring that the dimensional stability and quality of the peripheral chamfer on the finished part is assured. Beta has already proved its competence in the Wisniewski concrete plant the previous year having delivered transverse stoppers made from plastic along with the associated magnets. Through the modernisation it has already been possible, after just a short time, to optimise the workflows and increase the quality of the end products.
New circulating plant in Melsdorf near Kiel commissioned

BWM Betonwerk Melsdorf GmbH is one of two plants in the north of Germany operated by managing partner Salih Cete. The two sites at Melsdorf, a suburb of Kiel, and the Wisniewski concrete plant in Berkenthin, east of Hamburg, represent a good combination with which to supply the market in this region with precast concrete parts. In the Berkenthin plant, ceiling elements and ancillary prefabricated parts for housing construction are produced. Thanks to its modernisation, the plant in Melsdorf is able to manufacture ceiling elements and wall elements alongside other prefabricated parts of the highest quality on a combined system. The capacity of the plant is 1,600 m² ceiling elements and 800 m² dual walls per day. The investment in the Melsdorf plant has brought it up to the latest state-of-the-art and has made it the most modern plant in Schleswig-Holstein.
